Finally home

So I waited the most off yesterday for the doctor to talk to me, while I was waiting a physical therapist taught me how to walk with crutches. It is a real workout, and it was terrifying to walk down the stairs. But when it was time for visiting hours, my mom came to visit me. Then when she had waited for about an hour, we decided to ask the nurse if she couldn´t call the doctor. The nurse was a bit reluctant, but did it none the less. We waited a few minutes more before the doctor arrived. He told me the best news I had heard in awhile, not only could I go home right away, but also that the surgery went so well that I could step on my foot without being worried. The day before I had been walking with my leg in the air, because the nurses and I were worried that the foot couldn´t handle any weight. The doctor and a nurse took a quick look at my foot, changed the wrap and plasters, and then just let me go. I said goodbye, and just when me and my mother thought we were on our way home we got stuck in an elevator. The emergency bell didn´t work, so we had to call the hospital recaption. thankfully it was fixed in a few minutes, and we were once again on our way home. We made quick stop at the pharmacy, and then decided to order pizza. And with my luck, it shoudn´t be surprising that the lost our order. Thankfully there is an other pizzaria on our route home, so we made it home with our pizza. Being home is a bit challenging, especially because I can´t even carry a coffee mug. I found out I can carry anything I can put in a plastic bag, so I was able to eat breakfast at the dinner table without any help (except my bloody morning coffee!!!). But other than that I am happy to be home, and my foot is doing very well.
